December saw the revival of Worthing and Beyond!

It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these, but we’re back, baby. After a quiet Autumn, Huxley welcomed me, Chelsey, as a new member of the team to get Worthing & Beyond back on the ground, and I’ve been busy!

INSTAGRAM:

We’ve been steadily growing our Instagram and had quite an active month in December. Between creative and business shout-outs, blog posts, and local creative news, we were never short of content. We also started encouraging members to tag us in posts they wanted to be promoted, and shared those posts in our stories. From a follower count of 348 in November to 429 in early January, we’re so pleased to see how Worthing & Beyond is expanding and are looking forward to an active 2021. Go give us a follow at @worthingandbeyond if you aren’t already.

NEWSLETTER AND MEETUP:

With the revival of Worthing & Beyond came the return of the monthly newsletter and meetups. The December newsletter featured news snippets or offers from 7 of our creatives, most of which were also shared on our Instagram throughout the month. Though we couldn’t have an in-person meetup, we hosted a virtual meetup via Zoom midway through the month, where we received valuable feedback regarding plans and ideas for growing W&B in 2021. We also sent out a poll to gauge responses on future meetup preferences.

LOCAL BUSINESSES:

In December we launched our business directory, featuring 11 businesses ranging from vegan shops and cafés, to chocolatiers, to stockists and gallery shops. We’re particularly interested in showcasing creative collaborations with businesses and local creatives, like this project between Terre de Sienne x Karina Mansfield. Look out for more interviews in the future. Here are the 11 great businesses we’ve added so far:

Cactus Kitchen Gals
Conscious Cow
The Good Business Club
Hand Brew Co
Heavy Gretel
Inspired Worthing
Neighbourhood Store
New Amsterdam Pub & Beer Garden
One Bum Cinema Club
Terre de Sienne
Yamu Yamu

That’s all for December 2020 In Review! See you in February.
