Bernadette Stevenson is a Worthing-based glass artist that focuses on light, colour, and the sea.

She has worked with traditional leaded, stained & fused glass for 16 years. As a retired chef, Bernie uses kitchen ingredients like foil and bicarbonate soda and views her glasswork like cooking, in that she never knows how it will turn out.

She also teaches beginners workshops, so get in touch if you’d like to learn how to make your own beautiful glass art.

“I feel it’s really important in our busy lives for everyone to take time out whether it be art, dance, singing or being creative in any form. When I take myself down to my workshop & create a piece, it doesn’t feel like work, it feels like my sanctuary & is very therapeutic. It takes the strain out of my life & everybody needs that!!”
