About Conscious Cow

Conscious Cow is Worthing’s first entirely vegan shop and café, located on South Farm Road, near Worthing High School. They sell both hot and cold vegan food & drinks in their café – mostly homemade – as well as long-life, chilled, and frozen vegan food & drinks in their shop. They also stock zero waste and plastic-free goods; vegan cosmetics, toiletries and similar; and craft items made from recycled materials by local artists.

They run a community swap shop, which accepts kids’ toys, games, clothes and books. The children’s playroom at Conscious Cow doubles as a for-hire community event space, and Conscious Cow offers a mobile catering service for weddings and events.

 How They Support Local Creativity

Aside from their standard trade of selling food, Conscious Cow sells products by local makers, such as upcycled jewellery, candles and celebration cards designed by local illustrators. They display art on their walls by local artists, in order to benefit animal charities – in line with Conscious Cow’s mission of contributing to an ethical, compassionate, vegan way of life. They sell a book that was written and illustrated by their friend in their shop.

Furthermore, other people are able to use Conscious Cow’s space creatively. Their children’s playroom, which doubles as a for-hire event space, has been used in the past to host pop-up restaurant events, creative workshops for kids, community support group meetings (such as a Mothers-to-Mothers support group), regular yoga classes and sound therapy sessions. They’ll be announcing more events in the future.
